Hollywood 2.0 is a pilot project from the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Heath that utilizes robust grassroots engagement and partnership to provide comprehensive, community-based care and services for those experiencing mental illness and homelessness in the Hollywood region.
Hollywood 4WRD is the community engagement partner to LACDMH on this project and will be hosting meetings for each of the three workgroups below.
We’ll consider: What housing options exist, including interim and transitional housing? How do housing resources integrate with resources and systems? For instance, is crisis housing available after being picked up after a 988 call or by Urban Alchemy Alternative Crisis Response? What additional types of housing models and services do we

Are there potential sites ready for sale or development? How can we mobilize the community in support of housing for people with mental health issues and who may also be homeless? What assets and resources can Hollywood 4WRD and other community members contribute to this topic? How might we address "boundary creep" in the pilot for people being placed outside of Hollywood, or others being placed inside Hollywood.
Suggested Participants: Housing Providers, Owners and staff at Board and Cares, Landlords, Housing Developers, and other entities that specialize in workforce development, training, and employment pathways for vulnerable populations

Suggested Participants: Business Improvement Districts and Chambers of Commerce, Hospitality, Hotel and Food Service partners, job development agencies, local small/medium/large business owners, education partners including Community Colleges, service providers, nonprofits, government and public partners.
Outcomes: List of potential supportive employers with contact info, informed public, stronger community support for supportive employment for target population, list of potential partners who might serve clients in new housing sites, potential commitments for resources to support supportive employment.
